Hello

I am a firm believer in the power of the arts as agents of social change, catalysts for personal reflection and growth, and incubators for community connection.Throughout my career, both in my roles as teacher and leader, these values have been my guiding principles.

Currently, I am the Director of Fine and Performing Arts for the Needham Public Schools, leading programming, both curricular and co-curricular, in visual arts, theater, and music. I am most proud of the advocacy work that I have done to increase resources including staffing, infrastructure, and budget that have increased student access to and achievement in the arts.

 

As a music educator, I have served on the string faculty of The New England Conservatory Preparatory School, The Longy School of Music of Bard College, Cambridge Public Schools, Boulder Suzuki Strings, and the Ithaca City School District. I was known for increasing student enrollment and fostering excellence in each of these roles. My students have performed at Symphony Hall, The Boston Children’s Museum, Harvard Square’s May Day Festival, and the National Anthem for a Celtics game (multiple years) at TD Garden.
